Transformation of News Please

Every time I receive a news alert, rest myself in front of the tube and the 10pm news flashes on, I am a witness to the sorrow of others. Every news occurrence involves pain, tragedy, sorrow, turmoil and chaos. News has become the constant reminder man is often diseased with immorality.

Don’t believe me, look at the last five tweets from CNN

• 5 dead, 7 injured in special needs school van-tanker crash in Ohio
• 2 security contractors charged in Afghanistan killings
• 2 contractors for company formerly known as Blackwater are charged with murder in the killings of 3 Afghanis. More to come on CNN.com

Is this what the people really want; to be reminded of the tragedy and sorrow that plagues our fellow man. I say Give me hope. Show me more victory. Show me those rare but triumphing moments where the doubtful become victorious, the down on their luck persevere. Show me excellence, not downfall and despair.

Instead of giving me the saddest moments of someones life-show me their greatest.
